Couple Photo Session at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC

The National Gallery of Art is a great location for both outdoor and indoor photos. We started our photo session at the entrance of the south face of the National Gallery of Art.
The neoclassical architecture of the West Building is the prefect background to begin the photo session of this elegant couple.
The columns of the building look majestic in the background.
The Capitol Building is close by and provides a nice backdrop to show the spirit of DC.
The Rotunda inside the building is classy and sophisticated. I encouraged the couple to walk around and relax so their pose is natural-looking.
Inside the gallery, there are so many interesting photo spots.
The East Garden Court is one of my favorite spots inside the building. The lighting and architecture is stunning.
These photos show the chemistry between the couple - romantic and playful. That’s why I believe that it is important to take a balanced approach. I like to guide the couple so they know what to do. At the same time, let them enjoy their photo session like a fun date so the natural chemistry is apparent. The secret to looking beautiful is to relax in front of the camera.
We are in the tunnel called “Concourse” which connects the West Building with the East Building. I used a special lens to capture beautiful lighting here. The results look fantastic:
The East Building has a modern geometric design and displays contemporary art. This venue provides an interesting contrast to the West building.
